Lyric of The Week: Love Riot

Love Riot by Worth Dying For

Our hearts will beat with the love You gave

Love riot, turn this city upside down

Love riot, for the name Jesus

 To be honest, we as Christians aren't doing a great job of shining the light of Christ into the world....and the reason is that we don't have love.  Just think about what would happen if the body of Christ loved like Jesus did.  What would change if a love riot broke out among the people of God - if we as Christians didn't just put on our church face on Sunday and live like everyone else throughout the week, but if we lived through the week like people who had been redeemed by love and whose ultimate goal was to show others the love that saved us.  Jesus took the lowliest positions He could - He could've had a palace with servants waiting on Him hand and foot - He deserved it! But that's not what He did, did He?  He washed His disciples feet.  He physically touched those who were outcasts in their communities and showed them He cared.  He didn't lash back or preach a sermon to the people who spit in His face.  He didn't avoid people because they were dirty, sinners who did everything unholy - he sought them out. 

What if we did that too?   We could advance the kingdom of God so far if we just started loving people like we did.

 "if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."

You wanna show the world God? If you love others, He will live in you, and the world will see God's love through your love.
