Greetings, blogging brethren! (Sorry, I'm in a weird mood today, just go with it) I'm finally getting around to posting another Funny Five Friday! I'm so bad at having to post something on a certain day - I'll think about it, but of course I never think about it on a Friday. BUT, never fear, dear bloggers, I remembered today! Enjoy!
If you don't know what the Japanese flag looks like, then
A. go back to geography class (or whatever class they teach that in nowadays. Would that be social studies? What is social studies anyway?)
B. just Google it
And then once you'll see it, you'll understand it like the rest of us who paid attention in geograstudies class (that's what I decided to name the class where you learn about flags....cuz I'm cool like that).
Story of my life. Here's the procedure for making an important phone call for me:
Step 1(optional): procrastinate and try to save it until later
Step 2: go into the guest room/my parents' room/a closet/a place where no one can hear me
Step 3: get the phone number ready and take a moment to gear myself up for the call
Step 4: call the number, pace around the room, and mentally debate which is worse - them picking up and having to talk to them, or getting the machine and having to deal with them calling back
I dunno why I don't like making important phone calls, but I just don't.
These are awesome! And that bit you said about making important phone calls - that's pretty much me making any phone call. Hate them.
ReplyDeleteAlright, you just described my phone procedure exactly. I'm not even kidding.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny to see what I thought was just nervousness, all written down in order like that:D
this is such a good idea for a post, I might have to try it sometime:P
Yes to all of them. It is so true. The phone one especially. I write out different topics on a piece of paper, just in case ;) haha. I mean, unless you're counting skype calls with you, I don't freak out about those.
ReplyDeleteI called one of my mom's friends about something and I was soo nervous, the message I left on the machine was probably the biggest flop of anything I've ever done in my life. She didn't even understand it.
Okay...the phone call one. Goodness, we must be twins. I feel like that every time I have to make a phone call. The phone rings and I'm running in the opposite direction. Haha.

ReplyDeleteI am the same way about phone calls! Once I was calling a store to ask about a purse and I wrote out everything I was going to say - but then the lady said something different and I didn't have a response written and I kind of (silently) flipped out. Needless to say, that was the last time I did that! Thank goodness for email!
ReplyDeletethis is hilarious!!! and YES with the phone calls. I seriously am so uncomfortable talking on the phone and absolutely despise calling anybody. even people I'm pretty close to. I really don't know why that is. And yet, Skype is totally fine, so I think I just might need some serious help. ;D
ReplyDeletethanks for the sweet note you left in my garden walk, love. xx
postscript :: Also, I can't really tell you how excited I was to hear you liked Sherlock. *smiles* YAY for Sherlockians uniting. :D Just wanted to let you know that I occasionally host Sherlock/Doctor Who get-together's on Google+ Hangout with a few other Anglophile bloggers and would love to include you next time around {which hopefully should be later this month}. I'm on G+ here or you can email me here if you're interested. *wink*
